'Youth Worship Gospel Explosion' is June 24 at Bethel AME

"God's Tri County Youth Worship Gospel Explosion," with groups from throughout the surrounding area, is set at 3 p.m. June 24 at Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Marysville.

The non-denominational event, at 115 Fifth St., includes a worship service, song and dance, plus refreshments.

Admission is free, with donations accepted.

Organizers say the event, held every few months, is to bring youths together.

Pit Beef Barbecue returns this Sunday

The Annual Pit Beef Barbecue in Robbins is from 3 p.m.-6 p.m. Sunday at the Community Hall, 17540 Pepper St.

Tickets, available at the door, are $16 per adult and $8 per child up to 10 years old.

The dinner is presented by St. Paul's Catholic Church in Knights Landing and St. Agnes Catholic Church in Zamora.

St. Andrew Golf Tournament and Fundraising Party set

The St. Andrew Presbyterian Church Golf Tournament and Fundraising Party is planned June 17 at Plumas Lake Golf and Country Club, 1551 Country Club Road.

Golf is at 9 a.m., with registration starting at 8 a.m. Lunch and a live auction are at1 p.m.

Lunch is open to non-golfers.

Costs are $100 per golfer, including lunch; and $10-$20 for lunch only.
