Members of the Olivehurst-Linda Little League softball team paraded down Olivehurst Avenue Sunday afternoon as a way to honor the team for its second-place finish at the Western Regional all-star tournament in San Bernardino.
A number of local organizations, nonprofits, government agencies and media outlets were present at Sunday’s awards ceremony and received plaques from Olivehurst-Linda Little League as a way to say “thank you” for the support this summer.
Local filmmaker Radu Sava's documentary “A California original: The Grey Pine story,” will be shown at the Nevada City Film Festival. The film focuses on the grey pine tree, pictured here, that is commonly found in the region.
Those that visited the Nivano Physicians booth at the Community Resource Fair had the chance to spin a wheel and win a prize. Prizes included bubbles, highlighters and tote bags.
Kiwanis Early Risers of Yuba City president Dave Flores and Kiwanis member Randy Page cooked up hundreds of hot dogs and hamburgers at the ninth annual Community Resource Fair held at Gauche Park in Yuba City on Saturday.
