Glenn County cross country runners saw success in their meet at Rolling Hills in Corning on Oct. 24. 

Hamilton City’s Alicia Murillo is the MVL varsity girl’s champion, winning the 3-mile race with a time of 19:23, she is one of the top female runners in the section.

In the boy’s 3-mile section, three earned all-league patches.

David Gonzalez, of Willows, placed second with a time of 17:57; Xavier Rodriguez, of Hamilton City, came in third place with a time of 18:07; and Edgar Valencia, of Hamilton City, placed fourth with a time of 18:21. 

The Willows varsity boys also saw success, winning the team competition.

Gonzalez along with Erik Dominguez, placed 11th with a time of 19:02; Matthew Garcia came in 14th place with a time of 19:09; Adolfo Gracia had a time of 19:51 and placed 19th; and Ryan Feeney came in 21st place with a time of 20:02.

The next competition is the Northern Section Finals on Thursday at West Valley High School in Cottonwood.
