Orland police officer receives Life Saving Award

Orland Police Officer Kris Fullmore, right, was presented with the Life Saving Award by Police Chief Joe Vlach on Sept. 16 during a City Council meeting. Fullmore responded to a medical aid 911 call of an elderly woman with an altered level of consciousness on Nov. 11, 2018. When he arrived, he found Edna MacDonald unresponsive with no pulse. He began CPR and continued until paramedics arrived and took her to the hospital. MacDonald and her family attended the ceremony. “We would all like to commend Officer Fullmore on a job well done,” it was stated in an Orland Police Department Facebook post.
