Jennifer Coleen Moore, 41, has been missing for a month as of today. The Orland mom was last seen on surveillance video leaving a Wal-Mart in Chico on June 19 – the same day she was reported missing by her family. Police currently have no leads in regards to her whereabouts.
Glenn County detectives are still investigating the case, with help from the Chico Police Department. For now, the store surveillance tape is the only clue law enforcement has at their disposal. Moore has not contacted her family since she was reported missing.
“There are no updates and no sightings,” said Undersheriff Todd James of the Glenn County Sheriff’s Department. “We’re still in contact with her family to make sure they haven’t heard from her.”
In the original press release sent by the sheriff’s department, it said the family immediately contacted police when Moore didn’t come home because it was uncharacteristic for her to leave without telling anyone where she went. Detective Greg Felton, who was first assigned the case, told the Transcript that Moore also had a 12-year-old son in her care.
Moore’s family is scheduled to be interviewed by Channel 12 on Friday, James said. It’s unclear whether her juvenile son will be participating.
“They’re reaching out to the public in hopes that somebody has seen her,” James said. “There’s been no news since the surveillance video in Chico.”
Moore is described as a white woman standing at about five feet, three inches in height and weighing 220 pounds. She also has blonde hair and blue eyes.
Anyone with information regarding Moore’s location is encouraged to contact law enforcement as soon as possible; the Chico Police Department can be reached by calling 897-4900, and the Glenn County Sheriff’s Department at 934-6431.
