Flags on Sycamore Street
The VFW Auxiliary 1770 is seeking help to load and place flags on Sycamore Street for July 4. People interested in volunteering can go to the Willows Veterans Memorial Hall, 525 W Sycamore St., Willows, at 7:45 a.m. All ages are welcome and it’s asked that people wear walking shoes and bring water.
Orland’s 43rd annual Old Fashioned Fourth of July Celebration
For the 43rd Old Fashioned Fourth of July Celebration, the Red, White and Blue Parade will begin at the Orland High School football stadium at 11 a.m. At Vinsonhaler Park, beginning at noon, there will be food concessions along with various activities, presentations, contest, live music and more. Willows Fourth of July parade, activities, fireworks display
A parade will start at 10 a.m. at Memorial Park on Sycamore Street. There will be various activities including a horseshoe tournament, tri-tip cook off, family olympics, a pie eating contest, live music and more leading up to the fireworks show – which will begin at dusk. Chamber Community Farmers Market
The Willows Chamber of Commerce is hosting the Chamber Community Farmers Market at the Tractor Supply Co. parking lot, 811 N Humboldt Ave., Willows, 8 a.m.-11 a.m. (or until vendors decide to leave). Fresh fruits, vegetables, crafts and more will be available. Vendors interested in setting up can do so at the farmers market and it costs $10 for a booth.

Colusa County Grown will host an informative social hour where attendees will have the opportunity to meet people form a wide range of agencies that have projects and programs aimed to help farming.
