Glenn County high school graduations
They’re almost ready to toss their caps. Glenn County high school graduates are about to move on to their next chapter. Here’s a list of local graduations:
- Orland High School will host its ceremony at 7 p.m., 101 Shasta St., Orland.
- Willows High School will host its ceremony at 7:30 p.m. at Honker Stadium at the high school, 203 N. Murdock Ave., Willows.
- Hamilton High School and Ella Barkley High School will host their graduation ceremony at 8 p.m. at the Hamilton High School’s Kelly Field (the football field), 620 Canal St., Hamilton City.
‘Triple Exposure: Crosscurrents’
The Orland Art Center Gallery will host an artists reception from 3 p.m.-7 p.m. at the gallery, 732 Fourth St., Orland. The featured artists will be James Canter, Stephanie Luke and Harvey Spector. The “Triple Exposure: Crosscurrents” exhibit will feature a display with photographs – many in black and white – from the artists, all in different styles and different stories. The event will feature live music from the young pianist Natalie Fox and treats from Fourth Street Cafe. The show will be on display from June 7 through July 20 during gallery hours – Tuesdays through Saturdays, 1 p.m.-6 p.m. For more information, visit www.orlandartcenter.com.
Chamber Community Farmers Market
The Willows Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Community Farmers Market at the Tractor Supply Co. parking lot, 811 N. Humboldt Ave., Willows, 8 a.m.-11 a.m. (or until vendors decide to leave). Fresh fruits, vegetables, crafts and more will be available.
Glenn County SELPA Governance Committee public hearing

The Glenn County SELPA Governance Committee will host a public hearing at its meeting at 9 a.m. at the Glenn County Office Of Education Success Square conference room, 131 E. Walker St., Orland. During the meeting, SELPA will present its annual 2019-20 service plan and annual budget plan.

A Pizza Night Fundraiser will take place at Round Table Pizza, 1237 W. Wood St., Willows, from 5 p.m.-9 p.m. Mention “fireworks” when ordering with valid dine-in and delivery orders to help support the Fourth of July fireworks display in Willows.
‘In the Orchard’ workshop: Preparing for harvest, dust management and more

The Almond Board of California is hosting a two-hour workshop focusing on tips and techniques that will improve people’s harvesting process and reduce dust, keeping you, your employees and your neighbors happy. Industry experts will cover preparing for harvest and dust management techniques, air quality incentive programs and Almond Orchard 2025 Goals and ongoing ABC research.
