The Willows varsity baseball team defeated Pierce 10-0 on Tuesday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout.
Wyatt Peters induced a double-play from Garrett Grimmer to finish off the game.
The Honkers secured the victory thanks to six runs in the second inning. Ryan Shipplehoute, Odell Calzada, Danny Valdez and Les Dalrymple all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.
Colby Stilwell took the win for the Honkers. He went four innings, allowing zero runs on one hit, striking out eight and walking one.
Peters threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
Willows tallied six hits. Stilwell and Nate Reed each racked up two hits to lead the team.
The Honkers didn't commit a single error on the field.
James Holvik had the most chances on the field with eight.
