The Willows varsity baseball team grabbed the lead in the sixth inning to defeat Marysville on Thursday.
The Honkers stole a late lead and defeated the Indians 9-4. The game was tied at four with Willows batting in the bottom of the sixth when Colby Stilwell singled on a 1-1 count, scoring three runs.
Wyatt Peters was the winning pitcher for the Honkers, he allowed one hit and one run over four innings, striking out two and walking one.
The Honkers socked two home runs on the day, Les Dalrymple had a dinger in the sixth inning and Peters went deep in the fifth.
Willows racked 11 hits on the day, Stilwell and Peters each collected three hits to lead the Honkers.
Willows (9-13) will travel to Colusa (20-5) on April 30.
