With the expected fall opening of the new Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Sacramento at Fire Mountain just around the corner, the organization announced its plans to hold two hiring events next month.
“(The upcoming events) are going to be a round of interviews that, ideally, those individuals we feel are the right fit will leave with job offers in hand,” said Ryan Flieger, vice president of human resources for the local Hard Rock being built along Forty Mile Road in Yuba County.
The events will be split into two different categories. The July 11-13 hiring events will be for those interested in table games and slots positions. The July 18-19 hiring events will focus on available positions in different areas such as finance, casino cage, casino marketing and surveillance.
“Individuals that have applied for those specific positions will receive an invitation to join us at the hiring events at Yuba College,” Flieger said. “During the events, they will go through a panel interview process, then a one-on-one interview with one of the hiring managers.”
There’s no need to fret for those who haven’t applied yet. Flieger said event invitations will likely start going out in July, and anyone interested in applying for one of the available positions can still do so online at www.hardrockhotelsacramento.com/careers. He said they will likely continue accepting applications up until the week of the events.
Flieger said the initial hiring events are more division-specific rather than wide open. Once his team has a better idea of what positions still need to be filled the closer it gets to opening, they will hold broader hiring events, likely sometime in August.
“The first step is making sure they have their applications completed online,” Flieger said. “Then, when they come to visit, the one thing we ask is that they bring their personalities and we’ll supply the rest.”
