Law enforcement officers located and destroyed more than 1,200 cannabis plants at an illegal grow site following a search on Friday morning in Dobbins.

Law enforcement located and destroyed 1,224 cannabis plants at an illegal grow site during a search of a Dobbins property Friday morning.

Members of the Yuba County Sheriff’s Office Marijuana Enforcement Team and Yuba County Code Enforcement served a search warrant at 8 a.m. Friday at the site in the 13000 block of Dixon Hill Road.

The plants law enforcement eradicated were part of an outdoor grow in an unpermitted temporary greenhouse structure, Sheriff spokesperson Leslie Carbah said.

Officials were able to pinpoint the illegal grow following a month-long investigation that first started following a fire at a related grow in Forbestown in May.

The Dixon Hill Road grow location was then confirmed by overflights of the area.

No suspects were at the property at the time of the search.
