Marin County, Huntington Beach and Wheatland.

What do these have in common? Gov. Newsom’s attitude toward affordable housing.

Marin County has a exemption until 2028 to adhere to the standards of constructing affordable housing.

Citing Wheatland as an example of a city which is not doing enough seems disingenuous to the core.

Give a whole county a free pass for 14 years (2014-2028) certainly smacks of political crony-ism. Makes you wonder what other similar “exemptions” in California landscape behind the scenes. The governor mentioned transparency in his speech. Where is the transparency in the affordable housing arena?
