You’ve got one more day to make plans to attend an important dinner Thursday night: the “Pasta for a Purpose Camp Fire Fundraiser.”

Thousands of people were displaced from their Paradise-area homes because of the deadly Camp Fire in November. Many have relocated to Yuba-Sutter, including a FEMA trailer park at the fairgrounds. They’re our neighbors ... they could use a hand.

“We wanted to get a dinner going for these people or any other transplants who have picked up roots in Butte County and are here now,” said Jackie Sillman, one of the organizers.

It’s not hard to help ... show up and have a pasta dinner and throw some cash in the pot.

The dinner is Thursday, Feb. 7, 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the fair grounds. There’s no set admission, but donations are being taken in the form of cash, checks or gift cards.
