Roberta Marie "Bobbi" MacKinnon, 16, of Marysville died Jan. 17, 2004, at Rideout Memorial Hospital as the result of an accident.
Born at Mather Air Force Base, she was a Yuba-Sutter resident since 1989. An honor student at Marysville High School in her junior year, she was also a member of the school choir.
Survivors include her mother and stepfather, Joan MacKinnon and Craig Parker of Marysville; her father, Glen Nestlerode of Citrus Heights; a sister, Sharon Pirkle of Marysville; and her grandparents, Patricia Fleck of Marysville, Jake Fraser of Nova Scotia, Canada, Robert Nestlerode of Oregon and Bobbi Houghton of Arizona; and her great-grandmothers, Mary Fleck and Grace MacKinnon, both of Nova Scotia, Canada.
Donations may be made to the Roberta MacKinnon Memorial Fund/Scholarship Fund, Feather River State Bank, 700 E St., Marysville, CA 95901.
Services: Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Lipp and Sullivan Chapel, Marysville. A service is scheduled at 11 a.m. Friday at Crossroads Community Church, 445 B St., Yuba City, with the Rev. Adam Rentas officiating. Burial will be at Sierra View Memorial Park.
