The Yuba-Sutter Gold Sox faced off in their rubber-match game against the Medford Rogues on Wednesday, but couldn’t work their offensive magic like the night before as they fell to the Medford Rogues by a final score of 6-0.

After a three-run first inning by the Rogues, the Gold Sox couldn’t manage to bounce back and get on the board for themselves.

Medford would go on to add single runs in the sixth, eighth and ninth innings to make the final score 6-0.

Despite the tough loss, Tyler Carpenter had another exceptional outing for Gold Sox as he went 3-for-4 to maintain a .476 batting average on the season.

Another notable contribution came from Kyle Boomgarden who managed one hit in the game.

The Yuba-Sutter Gold Sox (6-5)will return to Colusa Casino Stadium tonight as they take on the South Bay Storm. First pitch is set for 7 p.m.
