Gold Sox first baseman Tyler Carpenter brushes dirt off of his pants while at third base during a game last week against the California Bees at Colusa Casino Stadium.

After a tough night on Tuesday in San Francisco for the Gold Sox,  they attempted to bounce back on Wednesday night, but fell short, losing by a final score of 6-3.

Things got off to a great start for Yuba-Sutter as they tallied one run in the top of the first inning, before eventually taking a 2-0 lead heading into the bottom of the fourth inning.

That’s when the Seagulls offense finally broke through and woke up.

San Francisco would immediately put a two-spot on the scoreboard to tie the game before tallying three more runs in the seventh and eighth innings to take a more commanding three-run lead.

After a failed rally effort in the top of the ninth inning for the Gold Sox, the Seagulls took the game by a final score of 6-3.

Despite the third straight loss for Yuba-Sutter, the following players contributed with notable outings:

-Isaac D’Agostino, who finished with two hits, one RBI and one run.

-Billy Ralston, who tallied two hits, one RBI and one run.

-Nick Simmons, who finished the night with two hits.

-Tyler Carpenter, who threw three strikeouts and only allowed two hits and two earned runs.

The Yuba-Sutter Gold Sox will look to get back in the win column at home tonight when they take on the Sacramento Heat at Colusa Casino Stadium. First pitch is set for 7 p.m.
