Gold Sox first baseman Isaac D’Agostino looks on as pitcher Brian Sullivan delivers a fastball against the Sacramento Heat during opening night at Colusa Casino Stadium on May 31.

The Yuba-Sutter Gold Sox bounced back after Monday’s loss and turned on their offense en route to a dominating 15-6 win over the Medford Rogues in Oregon.

After an even first inning with a score of 2-2, the Gold Sox went off for a four-run second inning thanks to a multi-run homer by Tyler Carpenter.

The boys from Yuba-Sutter would turn on cruise control and hold down the defense for the next four innings.

Much in part to the play of pitcher Bailey Daguio, who threw two innings, allowing no runs and retiring one batter on a strikeout.

Yuba-Sutter really started to pull away in the sixth and seventh innings when the team scored a combined eight runs, including an RBI double by Yuba College’s own Aiden Gums.

After the Gold Sox pitching staff held Medford to only one run in the final three innings, Yuba-Sutter closed out the game going on to win by final score of 15-6.

Notable performances on the night for the Gold Sox included Carpenter who finished with six RBI and Brandon Motheral who tallied two runs in the game.

The Gold Sox (5-4) will conclude their three-game road series against Medford today at 7 p.m.
