Tied at three in the bottom of the sixth inning, the Marysville High varsity baseball team plated the go-ahead run on a suicide squeeze bunt by Will Townsend, which set the table for an eventual 5-3 win over rival Gridley Monday afternoon in Marysville.

The winning pitcher was C.D. Portillo, who came in to tally 2-1/3 innings of no-hit ball.

Offensively, Cole Tyler, Dominic Crabtree, Morgun Goss and Alex Torrez each went 1-for-3, with Tyler adding an RBI. Goss, Torrez and Crabtree each scored a run for Marysville (12-6).
