A free Succulent Swap and Upcycle Planter event, hosted by Artisan Community Garden, is scheduled for Saturday at the Community Memorial Museum of Sutter County in Yuba City.

Attendees will learn to combine resources to make upcycled succulent planters.

People are asked to bring succulents to swap and share along with other things that can be used or recycled to plant succulents in.

Ideas can include old pots, picture frames, books, metal cans, glass vases, old baking items like bundt pans or colanders.

The Artisan Community Garden will provide soil and crafty additions such as paper, decoupage, twine, rocks and more to add to the creations.

There will be no instruction as part of the class but it’s intended to be a time for attendees to be creative and meet new people.
