The Dobbins Farmers Market, located at 9765 Marysville Road, Dobbins, will be open from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. The event will feature local produce, music, arts, crafts and a kids zone. The second Saturday of each month is kids day with activities for children. On the last Saturday of the month, for $10, people can bring their yard sale items and sell them at the market.

Sutter County Library Literacy Presents the 15th annual Multicultural Women’s Dance Fashion Show, held at Andros Karperos School, 1700 Camino De Flores in Yuba City, from noon until 5 p.m. This event will feature dancing, singing, music, guest speakers and a cultural fashion show. Women and girls of all ages, and boys under 15 years old, are welcome at the free event, which is sponsored but Baksho Visla and Bobby Samara. Canning with a Pro event will be held from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at Local Spicery, 228 First St., Marysville. Learn to can like a professional in a hands-on setting in Local Spicery’s home-style demonstration kitchen. Bring your cooking knife, cutting board, apron, and questions to class, and be prepared to participate in the entire process. Each participant will leave the class with two small jars of jam. Materials fee of $10 per person, in addition to $30 class fee, which will be collected at the start of the class. Must be at least 14 years old. For more information, call 763-5353.

Nicolaus

A Community Fireworks Display, hosted by Lake Minden, will be held from 4:30 p.m.-10 p.m. at Lake Minden, 1492 Marcum Road, Nicolaus. The free event is put on by the East Nicolaus and Pleasant Grove Fire Departments. Donations are accepted to raise funds for next year but are not required. There will be a food booth, inflatables for children, live music and a beer booth. People are asked not to bring pets, outside alcohol or glass bottles. For more information, call 656-2701.
