Beale Road. “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time,”is about 15-year-old Christopher, who has an extraordinary brain. He is exceptionally intelligent, but ill-equipped to interpret everyday life. When he falls under suspicion for killing his neighbor’s dog, he sets out to identify the true culprit, which leads to an earth-shattering discovery and a journey that will change his life forever. Wheatland

Students of Wheatland High Against Tobacco (SOWHAT) will transform into zombies and walk through the streets of Wheatland from 2 p.m.-3 p.m. to raise awareness about the dangers of smoking. Yuba County Public Health and Wheatland Union High School organized the activity.

The 23rd Annual Tri-Counties Music Competition sponsored by the Yuba City Noon Kiwanis Club is scheduled for 6 p.m. at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, 1390 Franklin Road. The competition is open to students from grades 1-12 who are studying classical music.

The traditional Hindu Spring festival of Holi, also known as the festival of colors is scheduled from 10 a.m-2 p.m. at the Sri Narayan Hindu Temple, 1829 Franklin Road.
